Erin B. Mee ha dirigido en el Public Theater, el New York Theatre Workshop, SoHo Rep, HERE, The Magic Theatre y el Guthrie Theater en los Estados Unidos. También ha dirigido obras en Sopanam, una de las compañías teatrales más importantes de la India. Es la fundadora y Directora Artística de This Is Not A Theatre Company, con la cual a concebido y dirigido Pool Play, A Serious Banquet, Readymade Cabaret, Ferry Play, Subway Plays, Festival de la Vie para el Festival de Avignon, Versailles 2015/2016, Pool Play 2.0, Readymade Cabaret 2.0, Play In Your Bathtub (que también fue traducida al ruso e interpretada por la compañía WOWWOWWOW en Moscú), Guru of Touch para el Edinburgh Festival Fringe, y Tree Confessions para los festivales de Edimburgo, Brighton, Melbourne y Filadelfia. Es la autora de Theatre of Roots: Redirecting the Modern Indian Stage (Teatro de Raíces: Redireccionando el Teatro Contemporáneo de la India), co-editora de Antigone on The Contemporary World Stage (Antígona en la Escena Teatral Contemporánea), editora de DramaContemporay: India (DramaContemporáneo: India); y co-editora de Modern Asian Theatre and Performance 1900-2000 (Teatro y Performance Asiática Contemporánea 1900-2000).  Ha escrito numerosos artículos para TDR, Theatre Journal, Performance Research y American Theatre Magazine, además de otros periódicos y libros. Su artículo digital ‘Hearing The Music of the Hemispheres’ (Oyendo la Música de los Hemisferios), que incluye clips de cine, video y audio, para la publicación Scalar; ganó el premio ATHE-ASTR para el mejor artículo digital del 2016. She is the author of Theatre of Roots: Redirecting the Modern Indian Stage, co-editor of Antigone on the Contemporary World Stage, editor of DramaContemporary: India, and co-editor of Modern Asian Theatre and Performance 1900-2000. She has written numerous articles for TDR, Theatre Journal, Performance Research, American Theatre Magazine, and other journals and books.
